The Story Behind The Red Bird

A few weeks ago, Lynne told the story of how her cousin was given reassurance from God through the sign of a Red Bird.  Sometime after that, Lynne had an appointment to have medical tests.  She had prayed to God that the tests would prove to be negative and that she was in good health.  She asked God to show her a Red Bird. Although, she believed, she looked out of the window at home and saw a brown bird. As she continued to look from her window, she was astonished that there did indeed appear a Red Bird.  This was a sign of reassurance and she left for the medical center, confident that God would take care of her.  He did.  Everything was normal.

Sometime after that, Lynne accompanied her mother to the hospital where her mother was being tested for a heart condition.  Lynne remembered looking out her window that morning for the sign of the Red Bird, but none were there.

At the hospital, they were in a waiting room down in the basement.  The only other people in the waiting room were a gentleman waiting on his wife and another lady.  Suddenly, there was an announcement on the hospital intercom; "Attention Mr. Red Bird, Attention Mr. Red Bird, Attention Mr. Red Bird."

Lynne looked at her mother and said, "Everything is okay; God has sent his reassurance."  A few minutes later, again the hospital intercom sounded, "Mr. Red Bird, all is clear."  Lynne laughed and knew her mother was fine.  The gentleman explained to Lynne that the intercom message meant there was a fire going on in the hospital.

Lynne thought about what the man had said.  He just reaffirmed Lynne's belief.  It was a fire; a Holy Ghost fire.

God has a way of working in your life. Believe in Him and all things are possible.
