IT IS A MIRACLE 

The Story of Cameron Tyler Liverett 

If you believe the "Days of Miracles" has passed, please put on your Shield of Faith and read about our "Little Miracle". Almost 3 years ago my daughter and son-in-law decided it was time to start a family. After almost 2 years of not being able to conceive and going thru testing and fertility drugs, doctors informed them it would be virtually impossible for them to have children. They knew God had promised them a child so they continued to pray and believe.

Our first miracle came in Feb. 2001 when we found out a baby was due in late October. The next 8 months were wonderful and doctors said she was having a perfect pregnancy.

On October 8th during a routine exam the doctor was concerned about findings and requested a sonar to determine the position of the baby. The results of the sonar showed that not only was the baby breach but that he had a large tumor on his back. It was then we were told he had Spina Bifeda. We were devastated but knew God had promised thru words of prophecy that Cameron would be a Child of Promise and a Great Warrior.

We were sent to the Birmingham Medical Center to meet with a sonar specialist for a three dimensional sonar that would show more detail. After the doctors looked at this sonar the results were even worse. They said the spine was open and had been open the entire pregnancy, which would result in diminished colon and kidney function and muscle damage to lower extremities. They said Cameron would need assistance with braces in order to walk and would need a shunt to remove excess spinal fluid from his brain. These were to be lifetime disabilities. We were then sent to see a Neuro-logical surgeon who only reinforced previous diagnosis.

During the time that passed between doctors' visits we began to bombard Heaven with prayers and fasted for a total healing for Cameron. After one of the visits with specialist I left my daughter and son-in-law and my Mother and I went to our church and to the Sunday school class where so many prayers have been answered and we began to intercede and cry out to the Lord for peace and healing. As I knelt there praying I asked the Lord to perform surgery on Cameron before he was born. It was at that time that I saw two hands working feverishly closing up the opening on his back. I received that as confirmation from God that Cameron would be fine. God then painted my mind with a peace beyond understanding. Philippians 4:7-8. As all of our family and friends fervently prayed and believed for victory we began to look forward with great anticipation to see what God was going to do. Finally the big day arrived on October 24, 2001 at 1:11 pm he was born weighing 9 lb 11 oz. and he was beautiful. 

As soon as he was born his kidneys started working, he was kicking and moving his legs that weren't supposed to work, and he had a beautifully shaped head with no spinal fluid on his brain. Our prayers had been answered and the spine was not exposed. God had truly performed the surgery and done a miracle.

Doctors were astonished to see what a miracle he was. There was a large fluid filled menengoseal on his back weighing I lb.5 oz. that was fully intact and was surgically removed at 25 hrs of age. Neurosurgeons could not believe how strong he was before surgery and were convinced that after surgery all of the limitations and conformities would be manifest but instead there was no nerve damage or spinal damage and Cameron left the hospital at one week instead of the predicted two weeks.

With every follow-up visit with doctors they have all looked in amazement at the strength he has. He was rolling from his back to his side at two weeks of age. Cameron is now five weeks old and continues to glorify God with every accomplishment. God used many people to confirm Cameron's healing before he was born and thru his miracle many lives have been changed and faith has been built in "doubters". GOD IS GOOD!!!
