Breaking Through
The Winter Trip moved our youth group in an amazing new direction. Thursday night we left Adamsville to go to Gatlinburg, TN. The bus ride, as always, was long but enjoyable. Friday, we went to Pigeon Forge to shop, play laser tag, and ride go-carts. Friday night, Brother Chuck Kennedy brought the word to us. God moved on His people greatly. He encouraged us to remember what our first priority really is—Jesus. Saturday, we went to Gatlinburg. We shopped and hung out for a while. Then, we met up and broke into teams for the scavenger hunt. The winners were David, Austin , Heath , JD and Daniel. Later we went back to the resort and had another amazing service. Bro. Jeremy preached this time and God’s presence was felt greatly again. During altar call many people came and prayed for each other. God definitely has something amazing to do with our youth group. After altar call, some testified to the group about things God had done for them. It was an amazing time. Saturday night after service, the girls had the Miss Winter Quest Pageant. This would be the one time where you wanted to look the tackiest. All contestants took their first walk. Then, the judges announced the top six, who had to answer a question. Next, the six were narrowed down to three and the three performed their “talent.” Congratulations, E-Dogg (Erica ) on winning Miss Winter
Quest 2005.
