Angel

I remember the first time I saw her.  Surely, she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.  She had that radiant glow about her that anyone who saw her wanted to take another look.  As my friend Parks says, "she's easy on the eyes."  God had sent one of His angels to me.  

I was to later learn that her heart was bigger than her physical beauty.  There is no one that will do for others more than she.  She spends most of her time being there for her friends.  She is a communicator and negotiator of ideas that without her, the world would not be the same.  She loves her family and she is loved by many including me.

It made my heart cry when I learned of her long-time illness.  Ever since she was a baby, she suffered from chronic asthma and sinus conditions.  We could be anywhere, such as a restaurant or theatre, and she would literally be without breath.  Many times I thought she was dying.  Her mother has told me that this had been the way it was for her since she was born and she also thought she was dying on several occasions.  She carried a breathing machine with her everywhere we traveled and almost every night  would use this machine to open up her passages.  It really was a way of life.  She was hospitalized several times with infectious sinus conditions that even required surgery.  The doctors would have to go under her lips to remove the chronic infection.  What pain she suffered.  

It was just an ordinary Sunday about three years ago, the visiting evangelist asked for anyone who wanted prayer for special needs to line up at the alter.  My Carole was at the back of the line; but around 2 PM the evangelist prayed for her healing.  This time it seemed different.  The faith was stronger.  Maybe there was a Red Bird.  I don't know; but God reached down and cured Carole of all of her chronic conditions.  It was a miracle that I can believe because I have witnessed it myself.  I am still amazed that she has not used her breathing machine since that glorious day.  She has no attacks and the sinus infections have ceased.  God is good to those who believe and work for His good.  

So when you have a need and want prayer, send that prayer request to the Prayer Zone and you will be sending it to one who believes that your needs can be met through God.
